RSO Fund Requests
When a Recognized Student Organization (RSO) plans an event or wants to attend a conference, but needs additional funding, on-campus funding sources are available. Various departments or groups on campus have set aside money to support RSO activities. These monies are a part of the following funds:
- Council of Student Affairs Directors (CSAD) Diversity Conference Attendance Fund
- Council of Student Affairs Directors (CSAD) Diversity Program Fund
- Pepsi Diversity Program Fund
- Pepsi Student Events Fund
- University Program Council (UPC) Fund Allocation Committee
In addition, individual colleges and academic departments may have funds available for RSOs.
RSOs are encouraged to stop by Student Involvement’s office on city campus (200 Nebraska Union) with any questions about this process. Depending on the event, additional forms may be needed to secure liability insurance, travel insurance, contracts, co-sponsorships, etc. Student Involvement staff will inform RSOs about any documents which may be required.
The application process, guidelines, deadlines and requirements may be slightly different for each fund. The forms, guidelines and deadlines can all be found online. RSOs are encouraged to learn more about which funds will best suit the organization’s needs. Read more about each of the funds at the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs web site and the University Program Council web site.
