University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Not-for-Profit Status

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) is a not-for-profit educational institution and part of the State of Nebraska. Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs), by virtue of their recognition by UNL and the use of UNL facilities and other resources, must comply with the limitations of the University’s not-for-profit status. Fundraising activities, for the purpose of raising funds for RSOs, are permitted within applicable policies and procedures. Any event or activity which is intended to generate profit for an individual or a commercial enterprise is prohibited. None of the facilities or resources of UNL may be used for these events or activities.
